Comprising a carved wood writing box in the form of a case with carved straps and buckles, the interior with a lift-out well and a lift-out tray, fitted with assorted writing impliments; together with a black leather cased alarm clock, calendar and barometer set by Hermès of Paris, the movements by Angelus of Switzerland; a gilt-metal photograph frame, the foliate cast frame with the Savoia arms containing a signed photograph of Margherita, Queen of Italy, (1851-1926); and a fan in an ebonised wood frame, one side with the Italian flag and the other with the flag of Japan
