The date of the telegram is very early in the disaster's story -- newspapers in the UK were reporting that the ship had not foundered. This example, sent from Titanic's sister ship at 8pm on the 15th, is less than 24 hours after Titanic hit the iceberg (11.45pm on the 14th). Both these First Class passengers died in the sinking with neither body being recovered.
