Francis Alexander Clutterbuck, D.S.O., R.N., enjoyed an interesting naval career - he took part in the relief of Ladysmith, was the last Naval Officer to leave South Africa at the end of the Boer War, and was awarded a D.S.O. for Commanding destroyers during the First World War in the North Sea and at the Battle of Jutland.
