The kings and queens modelled in crowns and robes, the bishops wearing leather tri-corn hats, the knight's as sea-horses, the rooks as turrets, all mounted on turned baluster stems with serrated rims
The king -- 3¼in. (8.3cm.) high; the pawn -- 1¾in. (4.5cm.) high
