The woman we call Nefertiti ("the Beautiful One Is Here") would have been known to her contemporaries at Akhetaten [Tell el Amarna] as Nefernefruaten-Nefertiti (Nefernefruaten means "Perfect One of the Aten's Perfection"). She added Nefernefruaten even before her husband changed his name from Amenhotep to Akhenaten in the fifth year of his reign. (D.
