Lee received his MFA from Chung Ang University, Seoul, in 1999. He had one-person exhibitions at the Total Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul, in 1999, and the Kwanhoon Gallery, Seoul, in 2002. His work was exhibited in the "SAC 2004 Young Artist Exhibition" at the Hangaram Art Museum in 2004. He was awarded the Dong-A prize in the Dong-A Fine Arts Festival in 1998. Lee's work is the collection of the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul, and the Seoul City Museum.
