Engraved architectural title, printed in red and black throughout, 16 full-page engravings in the text, 3 with facing page within an engraved border, engraved initials and culs-de-lampe (fairly crude repairs in fore-margins of T3-X3, inner margins of X1-Y1 reinforced, a little soiling and spotting). Contemporary red Roman morocco, spine gilt in compartments, boards ornately gilt with arms of a cardinal or bishop at centre, yellow edges (some ink staining and rubbing, upper hinge split between engraved and printed title).
