QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)

The S-shaped handle enamelled on both sides in tones of white, yellow, lime-green, iron-red and blue against a turquoise ground to depict stylised lotus sprays and arabesques, inset on the ruyi-head, mid-section of the handle and terminus, with three bracket-lobed soapstone plaques carved in deep relief with peaches growing from leafy branches, the largest plaque with the addition of a pair of bats
