After the portrait in the Ascott Collection, referred to as 'A Lady, possibly Miss Kelly'. The Ascott Collection picture is said to have been bought in Ireland from a Mr James by Baron Lionel de Rothschild in 1873 and thence by descent.

A similar picture was catalogued as Miss Kelly by Sir Martin Archer-Shee and was with the Ehrich Galleries, New York in 1920.
