Caroline of Brunswick was the estranged wife of George, Prince of Wales, married in 1795. In 1814 she took off to Europe and gained a disreputable reputation and only returned upon the death of George III to claim her title. Despite her popularity with the London mob she was banned from the coronation and 19 days later she died as the injured Queen of England.
