The image shows an arial view of Cologne, where Richter lives today, taken by the American Air Force on 14 February 1945, after the air raids which destroyed the city almost entirely.

offset print in black and grey, 2000, on Zanders Megagloss mounted on white card (as issued), signed in pencil on the mount recto just below the image, numbered V/XX, an artist's proof aside from the edition of fifty (there were also five trial proofs), printed and published by Heinrich Mies and Korridor Verlag & Edition, Cologne, printed to the edges of the full sheet (as published), within the original alder wood frame, in excellent condition
