THE DIAL SIGNED 'LESIEUR', EARLY 19TH CENTURY
With a bust of Aesculapius on a pedestal enclosing the clock face, the base inscribed 'AMICITIA PHILOSOPHIAE H. DE R. A ALEX. LEBRETON', flanked by a standing female figure and a pedestal with a snake entwined around a staff, on a red griotte marble base with a central frieze and flanking anthemion and wreath mounts, the back of the dial inscribed 'LESIEUR 'LESIEUR PARIS RUE DU TEMPLE' and further scratched 'PO 333', possibly with further feet
