According to the letter that accompanied this lot when it was first sold through these rooms in 1991 [not included here], the original vendor acquired the shirt during a Prince concert at the Sportpaleis Ahoy in Rotterdam, 19th August, 1986 -- apparently Prince stripped the shirt off and threw it into the crowd.
