Ramsden's workbook entry for this fruit dish records it's completion on 21 November 1938. It and the Garden of Hesperides Fruit stand (lot 65), were finished the same week, no doubt intended to compliment each other at Ramsden's holiday exhibition, held annually at St. Dunstan's.
