A Continental musical picture clock
Probably Viennese. Circa 1850
The gilt framed canvas painted with a Continental landscape with church to the foreground with silvered Arabic clock dial and later blued steel hands, the twin barrel movement with anchor escapement and strike on a coiled gong, with trip connection to pin barrel musical movement with two accompanying cuckoo pipes, the musical movement converted to weight drive with chain passing through the base of the box
