Melchior with her head turned to the left, wearing a white headscarf, gilt-edged blue bodice, white overskirt and puce skirt, standing barefoot holding a baluster jug with both hands, on a shaped grassy mound base edged with rocks (minute chipping to edge of base, footrim of jug and edge of overskirt at back, slight crack to headscarf above forehead)
