Decorated in the Augsburg workshop of Bartolomäus Seuter, the bombé lower part with vignettes of Oriental figures at various pursuits, the canted corners with birds among branches, below a scalloped band border edged with C-scrolls and husks, the shallow-domed cover with similar vignettes above strapwork supports, within a similar scalloped band and broad gilt band border edged with beading (slight wear to gildling)
