with white mohair, clear and black glass eyes, pronounced muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, rotating neck ball-joint, tail and standing on all fours with felt pads, circa 1912 --11½in. (29cm.) high (some thinning to mohair)

This ball-joint mechanism was registered by Steiff in 1908, their Polar Bear was a complete success. As usual, Strunz copied this product and Steiff were quick to act against him. Steiff took Wilhelm Strunz to court and won, Strunz was ordered to pay 1,500 Marks or spend six months in jail.
