MIXED LOTS FROM THE DECANTER MAGAZINE WORLD WINE AWARDS, SOLD TO BENEFIT WATERAID

The following lots are offered on behalf of Decanter Magazine and are drawn from the sample bottles submitted to their 2004 World Wine Awards. The proceeds will be donated in full to benefit the international charity, WaterAid, who are dedicated to the provision of domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education across Africa and Asia. Their work is fundamental; over a billion people do not have access to safe water in these areas.
Each case contains 12 different bottles from the region or country indicated and all are packed in new Christie's cartons following inspection and selection by Christie's and Decanter staff. The average retail value for each section is indicated below and vintages range mainly from 1999-2002. All are drawn from the 'over GBP 10' category of the newly established Decanter World Wine Awards.

An extensive pre-sale tasting and reception will take place immediately before the sale, commencing at 2pm, giving bidders the opportunity to assess a wide range of the wines on offer.
