AN UNUSUAL YINGQING CIRCULAR COSMETIC BOX AND COVER
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)

The interior applied with three cups, a central lotus bloom extending out into three branches bearing leaves, buds and pods, and swimming ducks in high relief below the rim, three of the buds painted in iron-brown, the rest of the box and domed cover covered with a transparent pale blue glaze (small rim chips)
