Great Tew was purchased in 1815 by Matthew Boulton's son, Matthew Robinson Boulton. The house was enlarged by him and his son, M. P. W. Boulton and furnishings were provided by Geroge Bullock and G. J. Morant. The sale of property from Tew Park on 27-29 May, 1987 included numerous Sheffield-plated lots, many of which were unmarked.
