On four stylized scroll feet with pan-Slavic designs in shades of pale green and blue within rope-work design, the circular body with lobed cartouches enclosing sophisicated stylized blossoms in the pan-Slavic style in shades of blue, green and gray enamel on pale green background, the lower rim with similar design enclosing stylized birds, the cover with scrolling foliage in the pan-Slavic style with similar shades and a large silver-gilt three faceted double-headed eagle, fully marked

Marked Fabergé with the Imperial Warrant, this very large cloisonné enamel item was nonetheless executed in the workshop of Feodor Rückert who was producing the best cloisonné enamel articles in Moscow. His workmanship was so renowned that other firms such as Fabergé or even Kurliukov and Ovchinnikov were buying and retailing Rückert's works.
In fact, either the Rückert mark is overstruck by the Fabergé mark or, in this case, his mark is not present, which is very common.
