The spirited figure with right foreleg raised and with mouth open, the solidly modelled mane with rippling edge and the tail knotted, arrayed in tassel-hung trappings and a long blanket draped over the saddle, the crouper centered by an elaborate 'fire pearl', with traces of white, red, pink and black pigment and specks of gold foil
