To a certan extent in common with Château Latour, Montrose often makes good wine in poor years. The 1963 (and 1965) were amongst the very best of these difficult vintages. The grapes for the 1964 were picked between September 21st and October 2nd, before the heavy rains that caused problems in the north of the Médoc. M.B.
