signed and inscribed 'F De Braekeleer Antwerp' (central compmartment, lower right), 'Copied from Rubens Descent from the Cross when taken down from the place in the Cathedral during the siege of the French. Bought by I.H. Perkins - 1812' (according to a label on the reverse)
