YONGZHENG (1723-35) AND 17TH CENTURY
The bowl with deep rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to a gently flaring rim, covered on the exterior with a rich maroon-coloured glaze mottled with pale celadon speckles, the interior and base glazed white, underglaze-blue Yongzheng six-character mark within a double circle and of the period, 5¼ in. (13.4 cm.) diam.; the cylindrical censer with straight sides raised on three short legs and moulded with a band of archaistic animal motifs, flaming pearls and key-pattern between thin ribs, the base with an impressed phoenix mark, covered in a thin white glaze of very pale ivory tone, 17th century (2)
