'Dear Ed, We will be waiting for you! Do plan to stay in Carmel (Hotel Weston to you) longer this time. As to the eastern trip, I doubt if we could make it this year - even though your "headaches" improved. We have a text book on photography to get out by Sept. and I have over half my Guggenheim negatives still to print besides a collection of 500 for the Huntington Library. I have asked for 3 years time in which to complete the latter work. So maybe next year will be better for both of us. Charis and I got married! We send best wishes Edward (June, 16, 1939)
