It is likely that this cigar holder was designed by Charles Osborne. Osborne (b.1847) worked at Tiffany from 1879-87 and rapidly established himself as a talented designer in the Japanesque style. His work is characterized by swirling forms, pearl decoration, flowers, and marine motifs.
