Youthful and agressive. Of all my 1986 vintage notes this ranks as the biggest wine, however, as it is muscular, tannic, with superb aromatics and seemingly in a mineral dominance stage of its evolution I see from my notes I much prefer Haut Brion in this vintage. There is substantial flesh on this Medoc soldier and tannins that will support a long life. Suggested decant time 2-3 hours. Last tasted Sept 2003. ST
