the compressed globular lower body set on three beast head feet, decorated with scattered mon on a scrolling foliate ground, surmounted by a moulded coiled dragon to the mid section, the upper body of ovoid form, painted and gilt with flowering chrysanthemums beside swirling waters, pierced metal cover -- 9¾in. (24.7cms) high, (restoration to dragon head), signed.
