A fine mid 19th-Century French gear-train demonstration model,
unsigned, demonstrating a mutliple gear train with brake. The brass gears are turned by means of a mahogany handle, and are mounted on a mahogany frame and base, stamped Q, 8 and 762, with a small brass plaque stamped A 53 -- 42cm. (16½in.) high
