The wide-bodied case with swan neck pediment to the hood, outset baluster columns to the hood and to the short trunk door, panel below and to plinth raised on bracket feet, the 13½in. wide painted dial decorated with buildings to the spandrels and with a mock moonphase to the arch, signed JOHN JONES/42 HIGH ST./PWHELLI; the associated 18th century single train wall clock movement with tapering plates and anchor escapement -- 88½in.
