The brass-lined case with bell top surmounted by a ball finial with
brass ring handle, the glazed sides with gilt-brass engraved urn-shaped sound frets above, the moulded base on brass bracket feet, the dial with white enamel Roman and Arabic chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands and central alarm disc, signed below Louis Raymond on a curved enamel plaque, the trellis engraved dial plate embellished with an applied engraved urn draped with flowers, the movement with chain fusee for the going train with verge escapement with vertically positioned foliate pierced bridgecock planted on the back plate with brass balance wheel with steel balance spring with calibrated regulation sector below with steel arm, two going barrels for the strike with the quarters struck on a small bell via two hammers and the hours on a larger bell, the alarm with going barrel and strike on the larger bell -- 13¼in. (33.5cm.) high
