The pear-shaped body freely painted with vertical panels of flowers separated by stylized bamboo stalks below further decorative panels and ruyi borders on the neck; together with a blue and white octagonal bowl, Wanli, the eight facets painted with scenes of scholarly life, including meditating, playing the qin, and philosophical discussion with friends
