A WELL-PRESENTED 1:48 SCALE STATIC DISPLAY MODEL OF H.M.S. ENDEVOUR
modelled by M. Puttock in boxwood, lime and ebony and with bound masts, yards with foot ropes, standing and running rigging, catheads, brass anchors with bound wooden stocks, bitts, pins, bell with canopy, winch, stove pipe, belaying rails, clinker-built ship's boat with bottom boards, thwarts and oars, four bilge pumps, capstan, binnacle box with brass lamp, helm, tiller, ten swivel guns and other details. The hull with ribs exposed below main whale, planked and pinned above, with chain plates and deadeyes, boarding companionway, glazed windows and stern, is mounted on two turned ebony columns on display base with legend. Measurements overall -- 36 x 40ni. (91 x 101.5cm.)
