YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)

Of pear-shaped form, standing on a neat splayed ring foot supporting the wide body, tapering to a narrow neck and a flared trumpet mouth, the exterior covered with a deep purplish-blue glaze with orange-peel texture, the interior and underside of the base in a transparent glaze

A Yongzheng-marked blue-glazed vase of this size and profile in the National Palace Museum, Taibei, is illustrated in Qingdai Danse You Ciqi Mulu, Catalogue of Qing Dynasty Monochrome Wares, Taibei, 1982, no. 37.
