Oval, on four leaf-clad and ivory ball feet, the stand with reeded handles and set with an iron warming plate in the base, the fitted silver warming pan with two ring handles and fitted oval dish, the double-domed cover with reeded and gadrooned borders, surmounted by a coronet with heraldic lion finial, the base and domed cover engraved with an Earl's armorials, the warming pan and dish engraved with a crest, marked on stand, warming pan, dish, cover, and finial, also stamped GARRARDS Panton Street LONDON on base, dish and under cover
