Signed with a raised monogram PV for Paul van Vianen, Utrecht and dated 1611
The circular plaque repoussé and chased with the figure of Charity, seated against a tree, an infant on her lap sucking its thumb, a child to her left holding a stick and another to her right stroking a dog with a sleeping dog at her feet, the background chased with a tree between buildings in a landscape, signed on rock to the left
12.5 cm. (4 7/8 in.) diam.
