Bloch's Photo-Cravate camera was first shown to the Societe Français de photographie on 5 December 1890. It was also the subject of British patent number 12,766 of 14 August 1890.

Several examples have been offered at Christie's South Kensington during recent years. Serial number 1005 was sold in Cameras and Photographic Equipment. The Property of a French Collector, 17 January 1996, lot 430. That camera showed minor variations in construction compared to others. An incomplete example number 232, was sold in Cameras and Optical Toys, 6 March 1997, lot 202a. Camera number 545 was offered in Historical Cameras including the Ken Crane Collection, 13 May 1998, lot 118 and number 1245 was sold in Cameras and Optical Toys 6 May 1999. Three un-numbered examples have also been offered.
