These uniquely small and intricately carved mirrors are virtually identical to Thomas Chippendale's design engraved by M. Darly and published in the first edition of the Director, 1754, pl. 146 as well as subsequent additions (reproduced here). There are no other examples known in any size which follow this particular design.
