An ivory netsuke of a rat in a sack
19th Century
carved with the rats head peering through a small hole to one side, inset eyes -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; a wood netsuke of a shishi modelled with one paw raised resting on a ball -- 1¾in. (4.4cm.) wide; and a wood netsuke of a rat holding a nut in its front paws, its tail coiled beneath, inset eyes -- 1 7/8in. (4.7cm.) long, (minor nicks to first piece).
