The case with later skirted plinth beneath the breakarch trunk door set with a bevelled mirror (later), concave throat moulding to the flat top hood with later pierced ebony sound frets and resting on brass-capped three-quarter columns, Josephus Williamson Londini fecit, with finely matted centre with shuttered ringed winding holes, subsidiary seconds ring with later elaborate silvered cartouche inscribed Horae Indicantur Apparentes Involutis Equationivus, the silvered chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands, female mask and foliate spandrels, the arch now applied with large silvered calendar ring engraved with the date, month and its sign indicated by a blued steel and gilt metal sunburst hand, flanked by dolphin and foliate spandrels, the movement with brass rectangular plates secured by five ringed pillars, anchor escapement, rack strike on a bell vertically positioned above the plates, bolt-and-shutter maintaining power, now with indirect drive for a later calendar dial, with worm-and-wheel arrangement and long steel arbor terminating with a brass inverted crown wheel driven by the calendar wheel at the base of the front plate; case (re-ebonised) and movement circa 1730, dial and movement circa 1730 with alterations
