No.1146. Circa 1880
The upper and lower case engraved with foliate scrolls against a stipple ground and the canted angles with trailing flowerheads, the pink porcelain side panels with gilt borders to reserves painted with ladies, the dial with conforming borders and painted with a recumbent maiden being presented with a bouquet by an amorino, the Roman dial with gilt minute track and painted to the centre with a butterfly hovering above a nest of bird's eggs, with blued steel hands (minute lacking), the single barrel movement with bimetallic balance to the lever escapement, numbered 1146 on the backplate
