That André Breton was fond of katchinas is evident from photographs of his study and drawing room. They are shown in photographs of the period either amassed on the wall or on a shelf, see the exhibition catalogue André Breton La beauté convulsive, Paris, 1991, pp. 77 and 79. Unfortunately the images are not clear enough to make identification of any of the present examples conclusive.
