Approximately four-hundred autographs, 1889-1892, the majority additionally inscribed by subjects with quotations from famous texts or with personal comments, subjects include Sarah Bernhardt, Henry Irving, Ellen Terry, W.F.Cody (Buffalo Bill), Lillie Langtry, Irene and Violet Vanbrugh, Mrs Patrick Campbell, J.M.Barrie, Arthur Pinero, Charles Allen, W.H.Kendal, Charles Hawtry, Charles Coburn, Marion Terry, Herbert Beerbohm-Tree, Ernest Bucalossi, George Grossmitt and Henry Arthur Jones, in a notebook, the inside cover signed and inscribed This album of autographs includes most of the celebrities of the stage during the nineties. This collection was compiled by composer Thomas Macready Down whose best known song was written in collaboration with Herman Darewski Take Me On The Flip Flap. He filled up the book when he circulated amongst theatrelands leading figures in the nineties.
