probably from a series emblematic of the Seasons, comprising: a group modelled as a girl and boy garlanding a bird cage, wearing simple 18th century dress on an oval tree stump base applied with a basket of flowers and moulded with a stiff leaf band, painted blue mark -- 5½in. (14cm.) high; and another modelled as a musician and a boy seated above a bail of wheat, on a similar base, painted in colours and gilt, late 19th century (2)
