A enamelled pearlware puzzle-jug
of circular outline, moulded to the centre with a sunburst within the inscription FROM EVERY LATENT FOE FROM THE ASSASSINS BLOW GOD SAVE THE KING 1800 within a border printed in chinoiserie with precious objects on a marbleised ground all beneath three projecting spouts and a flared pierced rim, the handle modelled as merman -- 11½in. (29.2cm.) high, circa 1900 (restored, slight damages and flakes)
