The design for this prospectus was attributed to Aubrey Beardsley when it was included as lot 157 in our sale of the John Merriam Library on 4 February, 1994. Subsequent research has shown that the artist is more likely to be Dudley Hardy who did a series of posters of the "Gaiety Girl" with an umbrella. These were characterised by bright colouring and the same distinctive lettering.
