The stepped and moulded cornice, above a foliate-carved frieze centred by a displayed eagle and fitted with a pair of panelled cupboard doors, the spandrels carved with cherubs resting on acanthus scrolls ib various pursuits, divided by further foliate-carved columns, carved with flowerheads, cloud-bands and ribbon-ties headed by pierced Corinthian capitals, the base fitted with a pine lined drawer and mounted with stylised lion carved handles between further foliate panels, the indented base on massive bun feet, restorations and pieces of veneer and carving lacking, the pine panelled back inscribed HS IIII
