The moulded cornice above a moulded frieze fitted with a rectangular glazed door, inlaid with scrolling marquetry between spirally-turned columns and enclosing a rectangular brass dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, inscribed in the chapter-ring Daniel Lacount, London, the dial 11in. (28cm) wide, the case fitted with a rectangular trunk door inlaid with further panels of floral marquetry, enclosing birds and flowersprays and fitted a circular glazed brass bordered lenticle, the panelled base on a moulded plinth, restorations 79½in. (202cm) high
